Farm Share Policies

By signing up for Farm Share, you agree to follow the program policies outlined below. These policies help ensure a smooth and fair experience for all members.

What’s in the Share?

Your weekly share includes fresh, seasonal produce from the farm you choose. Contents will change each week based on the season and weather. Specific items and amounts are not guaranteed, and substitutions may be made. Shares usually include mostly vegetables. Vegetable and fruit availability may be different depending on the farm. Recipes, storage tips, and other educational materials are provided to help you use your share. Some pickup sites may offer a Swap Box to let you exchange items when supplies allow. Payments

If you do not pay for the full season up front, you agree to make payments every two weeks or monthly. Payments may be made by EBT, check, cash, credit card, debit card, or Produce Prescription (PRx) vouchers. Checks should be made payable to VINES. All non-SNAP/EBT payments are non-refundable. SNAP payments will be refunded if a share was not received by the member in line with SNAP regulations. A $50 fee will be charged for returned checks. Shares will be paused until any outstanding balance and fees are paid.

Vacations or Missed Pickups

Please pick up your share at the location and time you selected. If you cannot come, you can ask a friend, neighbor, or family member to get it for you. Shares that are not picked up during the scheduled time will be donated. Payment is still required for that week. If you will be away, you may request to place your share on hold. Requests must be made at least one week before through the Member Portal, at pickup, or by contacting the Farm Share Manager.

Member Portal

After signing up, you will get access to the online Member Portal, linked to the email address you used at signup. In the portal, you can: make payments with a credit or debit card; view pickup schedules; request a hold for an upcoming week; make a donation.

Share Bank

The Share Bank lets you pick up your share if you cannot pay that week. You may use the Share Bank up to two times during the season. It is meant to help during short-term financial hardship. You will still be responsible for paying any remaining balance.

Home Delivery

Home delivery is available for eligible members who live in the Greater Binghamton area but cannot get to a pickup site because of health or transportation issues. Delivery spots are limited and requests are reviewed in the order they are received. Submitting a request does not guarantee delivery. Members will be contacted if delivery is approved. If you have any questions, please contact the Farm Share Manager.

Canceling Your Share

When you sign up for Farm Share, you agree to stay for the full season. If you need to cancel, please give at least one week’s notice. Payments already made are non-refundable. If you miss two pickups in a row without telling us, your membership may be canceled. You are still responsible for paying any remaining balance.

Staying in Touch

By signing up for Farm Share, you agree to receive emails, text messages, and phone calls from VINES about your membership. You may unsubscribe from general VINES communications, but we will still contact you about important information related to your share.

Photos and Videos

VINES Farm Share may take photos or videos during the Farm Share season for promotional, educational, or grant-related purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify us in writing.
